Nicole Cecilie Bitsch Pedersen is a sound and visual artist exploring the interweaved relationship between nature, sound, and technology. Working primarily with installations and sculptures, she also utilizes soundscapes, acousmatic composition and other formats and techniques, to make an idea take on form. Her work addresses questions of time and history whilst simultaneously often challenging audiences to engage with the art through physical touch, sound, or movement. Pedersen's latest project, "The Sound of Passed Time," was awarded the Nye Veje grant by the Danish Composers’ Society in 2023, exploring the concept of time through sound. Pedersen has created site-specific pieces for historic church ruins and permanent sculptures for sculpture parks.

Pedersen holds a Master's degree in electronic music composition from the Danish Institute of Electronic Music (DIEM) and is a current participant at Of Public Interest Lab at Royal College of Art in Stockholm, Sweden.

She lives and works in Copenhagen, Denmark.
